Fuller Long has recently worked alongside the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on a number of Jobcentre buildings throughout the United Kingdom. Jobcentres play a vital role in our communities, providing a platform for businesses to advertise employment opportunities to local residents.
The Department for Works and Pensions is committed to maintaining and enhancing buildings within its control. The applications involved minor alterations, and redevelopment of existing facilities. Including additional plant on roofs and the creation of entrance and exit access ramps.
One of the main concerns involved with the applications was the noise created by the condenser and air conditioning units. Working alongside other consultants, in areas such as environment and noise, our planning team was able to negotiate all of the applications through to approval.
